International Communications Veteran

Kirsten Gallagher

During the last 20 years, Kirsten Gallagher has worked as an international executive and a management consultant in strategic communications, marketing and planning, as well as a business journalist covering European markets.

Before joining Imprint Learning Solutions, Kirsten provided consultancy services to U.S. and European companies in the health care, pharmaceuticals and technology arenas. She has supported senior management with strategic planning, development and research, along with communications and branding strategies, campaigns and collateral. She has worked with a wide variety of clients, including a global engineering company, a large regional hospital system and a pharmaceutical start-up.

Previously, Kirsten worked in Basel, Switzerland, for Ciba Specialty Chemicals, a spin-off from drug maker Novartis. As vice president of corporate communications for a $6 billion company, she helped manage a global operation responsible for multilingual financial and internal communications, media relations,

media training, crisis and issue management, and corporate branding. Kirsten worked closely with executive committee members on positioning a newly listed company and informing the financial community and other stakeholders about products, earnings and M&A transactions. She also worked with Ciba’s divisions to coordinate product marketing and branding efforts.

Before moving into public relations, Kirsten was Zurich Bureau Chief for Bloomberg News, responsible for Swiss economic, markets and company coverage. She also worked as a journalist in the United States, Germany and Latin America, covering subjects including government policy, education and international economics.

Kirsten has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, pursued graduate work at Cambridge University, and earned a Master’s in international journalism from the University of Southern California. She is fluent in German and has a strong working knowledge of Spanish, French and Italian.
